Information about the Skokie Courthouse:

Built in the '80s, covered parking is available, including several handicap spots. The parking garage includes stairwells and two elevators. Internally, an elevator is available to reach the second floor and basement area, and an escalator to the second floor is available near the main entrance.

The Clerk of Court's office, where much of the business of the Court is conducted including payment of fines and filing of motions, is located on the first floor directly ahead of the main entrance. The Clerk accepts payments by check, cash, money order and credit or debit card with a convenience fee. An ATM is available directly next to the Clerk's office.

The Adult Probation Department, Social Services Office, TASC and Central States Institute for Alcohol and Substance abuse evaluation and treatment services are all located on the second floor.

Felony cases pending Preliminary Hearing or misdemeanor and felony bond hearings, including for Chicago Felony criminal cases are held in room 105 on the main floor.

Suburban Felony matters on the trial call are heard in rooms 206 and 207, and north side Chicago Felony matters are heard in room 107, 108, 208 and 209.

Misdemeanor criminal, traffic and DUI matters are heard in rooms 101, 102, 103, 104, and matters set for misdemeanor jury trial are heard in room 205. Skokie court Domestic battery and other domestic violence related matters are heard in room 106. Public transportation via the Pace bus system arrives at the front door of the courthouse, and the Court is located less than a mile directly west of the Edens expressway on Old Orchard road.
